New This Year! Start and Finish at Avondale Brewing Company!
Do you run? Do you drink beer? Then we have the perfect event for you!
Here2Beer is a weeknight 5K running event that begins and ends with a beer at one of Birmingham's most iconic breweries, Avondale Brewing Company. Participants in the COMPETITIVE DIVISION will have an opportunity to enjoy two ice-cold Avondale brews at their leisure, and participate in the 5k. It just doesn't get any better than this!
Don't drink beer or are underage, but still want to compete? Sign up for the 5K RUN ONLY DIVISION.
Participants in both divisions will be timed together for the 5K portion of the event. By registering for the COMPETITIVE DIVISION, you are signing up to receive two 8 oz beers to consume at your leisure during the event. You are NOT required to consume beer as part of the event in order to receive a finish time.
This race course is FLAT and FAST, and is USATF Certified AL19038JE. All participants in both the COMPETITIVE and 5K RUN ONLY DIVISIONS will be chip timed, and Top 3 Overall Male / Female will be awarded.
Here2Beer 5K Race Series...
The Here2Beer 5K Race Series consists of three weeknight running events throughout the summer. Event dates are June 27, July 11, and August 1, 2019. Series awards will be presented at the third and final event of the series (August 1, 2019). Participants are not required to complete all three events in order to be scored for the series (however, the more you race, the better your chance to win the series). Top 3 Overall Male / Female will be awarded. Discounts will apply for those who register for more than one event in the series.
NOTE: YOU MUST BE 21 YEARS OF AGE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE COMPETITIVE DIVISION. PARTICIPANTS OF ALL AGES ARE WELCOME IN THE 5K RUN ONLY DIVISION.
CANCELLATION STATEMENT: This event will occur rain or shine, hot or cold. We reserve the right to cancel in extreme circumstances. In that event, there will be no refunds.
Race Series
Compete in the Here2Beer 5K Race Series to win series awards, and to receive discounts when registering for more than one event in the series.
RACE SERIES AWARD DIVISIONS
The Top 3 Overall Male / Female winners will receive Race Series awards. Awards are as follows:
1st Place Overall Male / Female $150 Trak Shak Gift Card
2nd Place Overall Male / Female $100 Trak Shak Gift Card
3rd Place Overall Male / Female $75 Trak Shak Gift Card
NOTE: All Race Series participants are scored based on their age as of December 31st of the series year.
NOTE: In order to comply with Alabama State Alcohol Code, only the 5K portion of the event will be considered for awards. Beer will be available both before and after the event for those in the COMPETITIVE DIVISION, but will NOT be part of the scoring or timing of the event.
Multi-Event Discounts
Register for TWO EVENTS at once to receive an automatic 10% discount for one event.
Register for THREE EVENTS at once to receive an automatic 20% discount for one event.

NOTE: ONLY THE 5K PORTION OF EACH DIVISION WILL BE SCORED. THOSE REGISTERED IN THE COMPETITIVE DIVISION WILL HAVE BEER AVAILABLE BEFORE AND AFTER THE 5K. THERE IS NO REQUIREMENT TO CONSUME BEER AT THIS EVENT.
Competitive Division Guidelines
The Competitive Division will start in the BACK COURTYARD of Avondale Brewing Co. at 6:00 p.m.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
1. At Packet Pickup, those in the Competitive Division will receive TWO WRISTBANDS. These wristbands may be used to claim two 8 oz beers at the OUTDOOR BAR at any time during the event. Beer may be consumed at your leisure at any time during the event, as only the 5K portion of the event will be timed. NOTE: There is NO requirement to consume beer as part of this event.
NOTE: YOU MUST BE 21 YEARS OF AGE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE COMPETITIVE DIVISION. PARTICIPANTS OF ALL AGES ARE WELCOME IN THE 5K RUN ONLY DIVISION.

5K Run Only Division Guidelines
The 5K Run Only Division will start in the BACK COURTYARD of Avondale Brewing Co. at 6:00 p.m.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
1. Once the gun goes off to start the race, cross the timing mats and turn RIGHT onto 2nd Ave S upon exiting the gate.
2. Run the out and back 5K Route to return to the Finish Line at Avondale Brewing Company.

Awards
At each of the three events, 5K AWARDS will be presented to the Top 3 Overall Male / Female winners.
At the third and final event, RACE SERIES AWARDS will be presented to the Top 3 Overall Male / Female winners.
Note: All awards are based on GUN TIME, and all runners will be scored together regardless of division. This rule is to comply with Alabama State Alcohol Code.
T-Shirts
Short sleeve Next Level t-shirts are included with registration.
Unisex Sizes S / M / L / XL / XXL are available, and each event will offer a different colored shirt.

Refund Policy
