FCDS Cares 5K: Benefiting The Norma Pfriem Breast Center - 5k Run & 1.5 Mile Walk

Race morning - SUNDAY NOV 4 pickup & late reg starts at 7:30am from Fairfield Country Day School. 

The 2018 Fairfield Country Day 5K run/walk is proud to benefit The Norma Pfriem Breast Center. This non-profit organization is dedicated to providing breast care for all women, regardless of their ability to pay. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to The Norma Pfriem Breast Center.

The race and walk will take place on the roads surrounding our campus -  one of the most beautiful areas of Fairfield and Connecticut with its rolling hills, awesome foliage, rich history, and quiet streets.

Our events include a computer timed 5K Run/Walk, a 1.5 Mile Walk (untimed) and a Kids Fun Run.  The run, walk and kids committees, sponsors and volunteers truly appreciate you choosing to be here with us. 

If you are busy running the New York City Marathon or shuttling kids to far flung locations and can't join us, don't fret! You can also participate as a "virtual" runner/walker or as a donor. We invite the virtual runner to register but run at a time and distance and any location that works into their schedule. We will send you our commemorative T-shirt to acknowledge your run and your generosity!

We will distribute awards to the overall 5K male and female champions and the winners of our age groups. More prizes may be added as participation numbers increase. Age groups: 9 & under, 10-13, 14-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

We do offer a reduced fee for participants 18 & under so please be sure to look for the age group pricing when registering.

There will be light snacks and post race fluids. There are bathrooms- please arrive ready to run. Parking details will be sent in a race "premail" a few days before the event. 

Our course is a measured 3.11 mi/5k.

This race is directed by Marty Schaivone – M.S. Running Productions. MSRP helps to direct over 40 other events in which last year raised over $250,000 for charities including Aquarion Barnum Festival 5K/10K in Bridgeport,  Black Rock "Run for the Rock", Milford Bank Moves for Veterans, MADD Dash in Stratford, Colony Grill Hot Oil 5K in Fairfield, Stratford Turkey Trot, Cow Chip Cross Country Run & Jingle Bell Run in Trumbull, Holiday Toy Run in Fairfield and over 35 other events in Fairfield County.
