Description
Join us from September 1- September 22, 2020 for the 3rd Annual 5K Run/Walk for Girl Up. This non-competitive event is committed to raising money for Girl Up, which is a campaign of the United Nations Foundation. This year, the event will be held virtually, and we will be fundraising for efforts against gender-based violence. Girl Up works toward providing a better life for girls all over the world. Step by step, we can achieve that goal.
Please follow all CDC guidelines, including maintaining social distancing and wearing a mask. This event is also possible at home, on a treadmill if that works for you, and you can send us a photo of your time.
Please email us at powerun5k@gmail.com by September 23 at midnight with a photo of your time or a picture of you/your family having completed the run/walk. Once received, if you are close to the New Tampa area, you can pick up a free shirt from one of our organizer's homes (details will be emailed). Please feel free to walk or run whatever distance is most comfortable. You can split the distance over multiple days as well.
Any students looking for volunteer hours will receive 5 hours if they participate or donate. Please email us your form at powerun5k@gmail.com.
Any participants who donate an additional $10 on top of registering will receive a POWERUN shirt, in addition to the shirt given to all participants from our sponsor Avatar and Elementary.
