Jacob's # Seigars Strong 5k Walk & Run

This 5k is for the benefit of Jacob Seigars and his family. Jacob is 14 years old and lives in Palermo and China. He was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in January 2018, and was hospitalized  for four of the past seven months. Jacob underwent Bone Marrow Transplant at Boston Children’s Hospital May 31, 2018 with marrow donated by his older brother Shawn. Jacob will spend up to eight months in home isolation while his immune system and body recovers.  The funds raised from the 5k will be used to help offset the substantial loss of income for his family as a result of his diagnosis, treatment, and care. Jacob is one of five children in his family and has a blended family including his mom Heather, dad Joe, bonus mom Tasha, brothers Shawn and Joe Jr and sisters Achiva and Isabella. 

Race Details
Course Description: The 5K run/walk is a loop course starting at Palermo Christian Church, will go up the Branch Mills Road , turn around at the Route 3 intersection, back down the Branch Mills Rd to Tobey's Grocery, and then loop back to the church.

Ages 5-17 $15

Ages 0-4 free with paying adult (shirt not included)

T-shirts are included with registration fee when you sign up by August 17th

Awards: Prizes for overall first place male and female,  for overall first male and female; first, second, and third place winners in age categories.
