Description

For Belle's Sake Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation will be hosting a 5K Run/Walk! Please join us to raise money and awareness for this awesome charity. http://www.forbellessake.org/

The race will begin at Atypical Brewery and Barrelworks in Downtown Minot! We will run/walk through Roosevelt Park and the surrounding areas, then end back at Atypical for a family friendly post-race party! 

T-shirts will be given to everyone who registers before June 15! Goody bags will be given to the first 100 participants to register (additional bags may be available on a first come basis). 

# WINNING

Medals will be awarded to the fastest three finishers in each of the following categories: Men, Women, Children (under 12). Winners will get special prizes as well!

Pets

Dogs ARE allowed at this event. Dogs must be leashed at all times and owners must clean up after their pets. Be aware that this will be a loud, crowded environment; always put your dog's emotional and mental health first! If they will be scared, anxious, or overly excited, it's probably best to leave them safely at home. 

Cancellations and Refunds

Race will be held Saturday subject to:

a) Weather delays from lightening, sleet or blinding rain. Thirty minute delay policy after a lightning bolt.

b) If there are four 30 minute delays that extend the 5K race start time beyond 1 PM, the race will be canceled or rescheduled that day due to length of time volunteers are willing to stay at their post to keep the course safe.

In the rare occasion that the race is cancelled, refunds or deferrals will not be given.  We will coordinate with you to pick up your t-shirts and goody bags.  The proceeds from your registration fee will be issued to For Belle's Sake Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation.

FAQs

1. What is the route for the 5K? 

You can view the 5K route here. (Subject to change)

2. Where can I park? 

There is street parking available on Central Ave, 4th St NE, and 5th St NE. You can also park in Roosevelt Park and walk over. 

3. What is the schedule?

10:45am - Registration Opens, 12pm - Race Begins, 12:45pm - Awards Ceremony. 3pm - After Party Ends

4. Will there be free swag?

Yes! Everyone who signs up before June 15 will get a free performance blend t-shirt.  Goody bags will be given to runners as supplies last, we will have at least 100 bags. 

5. Will there be prizes?

Medals and prizes will be given to the top 3 men, women, and kids (so 9 winners!). The #1 man and woman will receive a special grand prize of $100 gift certificate to Country Paws Daycare and Lodging. The awards will be given out at 12:45 pm, but can be given earlier if a winner has to leave early. 

6. Is the route accredited or certified?

It is not. On the day of the race, we will adjust the turn around point on 4th Ave NE so that the route is 3.1 miles (5 km). Notes for competitive/serious runners: we will have a large timer at the finish line so that you can record your own times. We will not have bibs, runners will wear a wristband. We will have volunteers directing traffic to keep runners safe at intersections. Runners should not have to stop for traffic. (Most of our turns will be same-side of the road, so that you will not need to cross the roads often.) Most of the route is on sidewalks or paved trails. There will be one water station near the halfway point. 

7. What will be going on at the After Party?

Of course, Atypical Brewery will be open for business! For Belle's Sake Directors will be available to talk about the Rescue, DJ SKNRBOX will be providing music, Dakota Burger Truck will be providing food for purchase, Total Nutrition will be giving out free samples.

9. What if it rains? 

If it is just rain, we will continue the run. For weather delay/cancellations, see the Event Description section above.
