The 5k Annual Durga Temple Race/Walk For World Peace and Unity is 1st annual Walk/Race organized by Durga Temple on October 12, 2019 at beautiful Burke Lake Park in VA. Come out and enjoy a spring morning and support a good cause.
Don’t wait to sign up, as registration fee will increase after October 1st. Registration closes on the evening of May 10th. Unfortunately due to Park Service regulations, we will not be able to offer on-site race registration. Registration for each individual is $25.00. There is no cost for kids up to 5 years age. Strollers are welcome. You can create a group. A group of 5 or more will pay $20 each at checkout. Kids between age 6-10 will pay only $10. All money raised in this will be spent in building community stronger.
ABOUT Durga Temple
The Durga temple was the first temple of Bhagwati Durgaji built in USA. This temple is the place of worship for people of all Hindu faiths. The temple focus in youth and local community and holds a number of educational and community outreach programs. It collaborates with institution of other faith in promoting Peace and Unity. Money raised will help Durga Temple to develop and launch more programs on youth engagement and senior citizens.
