We welcome you to join us for the "Young Life Richmond West End 5k" sponsored by TowneBank Mortgage! Race starts at 8:00 am in Innsbrook at the North Shore Commons – near the Innsbrook Pavilion – at 4951 Lake Brook Drive, Glen Allen, Virginia 23060.

About Young Life
We believe in the power of presence. When Young Life leaders share God’s love with kids, they begin to see that their lives have great worth, meaning and purpose. This is the first step of a lifelong journey; the choices they make today will have an impact on future decisions, careers, marriages and families all around Henrico County, because a caring adult took time to reach out and enter their world. Young Life in Richmond’s West End has over 30 volunteer leaders building relationships with students in six high schools in the county: Deep Run, Godwin, Freeman, Glen Allen, Hermitage and Tucker High Schools. Leaders enter into student’s lives, supporting them, loving them and demonstrating God’s love to them on a daily basis.

Why a Young Life 5k?
Each year Young Life gives thousands of dollars in scholarships to help kids experience the life changing experience of Young Life camp. Last year Young Life Richmond West End gave over $30,000 in camp scholarships to local high school students at Tucker, Hermitage, Glen Allen, Freeman, Deep Run and Godwin. It's our passion that every student would be able to enjoy the fun, adventure, and discovery that is unique to Young Life camp. Camps are located in Saranac, New York and Windy Gap, North Carolina.

How will the Young Life 5k help?
100% of the race entry fees and additional donations will be used for providing financial assistance to students wishing to attend Young Life camp this summer.

For current high school students who run or walk in the 5K and who plan to sign up to attend camp in 2015:

• The race registration fee will be deducted from the cost of the 2015 summer camp trip for high school runners/walkers who sign up to attend camp! If you wish to donate your registration fee to another person or school, please email the Race Director at YoungLifeWestEnd5K@yahoo.com with the specifics. Additionally, during registration you will have the option to make a donation over and above your registration fee. If you wish to make an additional donation, follow the instructions when prompted.

For any runner or walker who is not attending Young Life Camp but runs the 5K:

• The $25 registration fee will be used to help kids who want to attend camp but need financial assistance to do so. If you wish to donate your registration fee to another person or school, please email the Race Director at YoungLifeWestEnd5K@yahoo.com with the specifics. If no school or student is specified the donation will go where it is most needed. Additionally, during registration you will have the option to make a donation over and above your registration fee. If you wish to make an additional donation, follow the instructions when prompted.

Friends, family and community members who cannot run or walk in the 2015 Young Life 5K:

• Simply click "donate" above, and your donation may be designated to support a specific student or school, by clicking "Show Another Name" and indicating a school and/or student. If no school or student is specified the donation will go where it is most needed.

As stated above, additional donations can be made to support a friend or a school – or Young Life Richmond as a whole which will ensure that Young Life will continue to be a strong resource for the community! Race Details
Online registration ends at 1:00 pm on April 17th. Onsite registration is available during packet pickup which will occur from 4:30-8:30 pm on April 17th at TowneBank Mortgage, 4413 Cox Road, Glen Allen, VA 23060, in Innsbrook. There is NO race day registration and there is NO race day packet pickup. If you are unable to pick up your race packet, please ask a friend or family member to do so. If you have an extreme circumstance, please email YoungLifeWestEnd5K@yahoo.com and we will help!
