Team Tom Tom Second Wind 5K Run/Walk

This 5K Run/Walk will benefit double lung transplant recipient, Tom Carter. All proceeds will go to recipient for any and all medical expenses incurred.

Tom received a double lung transplant and is recovering from the University of Virginia Health Systems in Charlottesville. He was born with a lung disease, Cystic Fibrosis, a condition that was not diagnosed until he was 21. It progressively worsened with age and by his early 40's he had lost much of his body weight and lung function; ultimately, being placed on the donor list. Tom received his lungs on September 9th and is currently recovering and doing well with the transplant.
