South Lyon Pumpkinfest "Lead the Parade" 5k

On Saturday, Sept 30, 2023, our 5K will lead the Pumpkinfest Parade down South Lyon's Pontiac Trail through thousands of spectators lining the route .  Registration, Start, and Finish are at Millennium Middle School at the south end of the track.

PLEASE NOTE:  Due to a rerouting of the Pumpkinfest Parade, parking has changed for the runners.

PLEASE PARK IN THE TEACHER'S PARKING LOT on the west end of Millennium near the track.  Enter this parking lot from 9 MILE road.  Last year's parking is now the staging area for the parade.  Overflow parking will be at Centennial Middle School a short distance west of Millennium. Please note!  Pontiac Trail will be shut down about 9:30 AM.  You may need to get to the race via 9 Mile Road if you are arriving late.

Food & Awards & Tech Shirts are part of the experience. The actual race begins at 9:50 AM.

On Sunday, October 1, we host our annual Half Marathon utilizing Island Lake State Park and Kensington Metropark on .  https://runsignup.com/Race/MI/SouthLyon/PumpkinfestHalfMarathon

Enter Island Lake Park and turn right at the toll booth. Go back about one mile to the registration shelter at TRAILHEAD.  There will be a short bus ride from TRAILHEAD to the start line.  The bus will leave a 9:15 for the 9:30 start.   

Registration begins at 800.  The starting gun goes off at 9:30.

Participants will enjoy Tech T-shirts, age & gender grouped awards, and refreshments!
