We Can End Hunger - When We All Work Together

Each September, Hunger Action Month inspires millions to raise awareness and support our neighbors facing food insecurity. By coming together, we can make a meaningful impact in our communities.

Organizations nationwide unite during this month to take action, share resources, and ensure everyone has access to nutritious food. Your involvement helps turn compassion into change.

Join us this Hunger Action Month: volunteer, donate, or spread the word. Every action counts. Together, we can end hunger.

Volunteer – Act with Your Time

Volunteer in a Hunger Relief Site throughout September to lend a helping hand. Bring 25 non-perishable food items with you to donate when you volunteer. Learn more about volunteering for the Hunger Relief Program on our website at: hungernetwork.org/get-involved/volunteer/

$25 in ‘25 – Act with a Gift

Make a gift of $25, $250, or $2,500 in 2025 to Hunger Network as we feed our communities’ future. A generous donor will match up to $20,000 for all gifts made during Hunger Action Month this September.

Amplify – Act with Your Enthusiasm

Wear orange on Hunger Action Day (Tuesday, September 9th) and share how you are taking action to fight hunger with your network!

About Hunger Network

Hunger Network ensures no one goes hungry and no food goes to waste. Incorporated as a grassroots nonprofit in 1995, Hunger Network is among the largest food relief and recovery organizations in Cuyahoga County, serving over 45,000 individuals each month.

Hunger Network fights food inequity and injustice through a collaborative consortium of 71 hunger relief sites, food donors, and non-profit partners. Food Rescue utilizes innovative app technology to recover fresh food and deliver it to nearby community distribution locations in under an hour. Since program inception in 2018, Food Rescue Hero volunteers have completed almost 34,000 rescues, diverted close to 7.1 million pounds of fresh food from landfills, which mitigated 13.2 million pounds of hazardous CO2 from the atmosphere.
