Making My Miles Count.
The truth is, I don’t have a deep personal story connected to cancer. And in many ways I’m grateful to be able to say that because I know others who can’t.
For my 2nd Half Marathon ever, I’m running to raise $1,000 for the American Cancer Society in the continued effort of research, support, and most importantly, hope.
I ran my first half marathon in January for myself, but running has revealed to me that there’s always a larger picture to point to. This time, I’m running in honor of the people we know, and the ones we don’t, who fight quietly and persevere every day. I believe in showing up for people who are battling things most of us can’t see.
If you feel led to give, I’d be grateful for your support. Any amount helps. Let’s make these 13.1 miles count.
