Cayuga Cares with Color Run

Join us for the 3rd annual Cayuga Cares with Color Run.  100% of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the Matthew House in Auburn, NY, to help them with their mission of providing a home for people with terminal illness to pass away with dignity and in comfort.  Matthew House is a not for profit, non-denominational comfort care home that is staffed by volunteers.  Services are free of charge.  Hence, Matthew House relays solely on donations, memorials, fundraisers, and grants to carry out their mission.  

New this year the color run has 3 different events to choose from to show you CARE with Color!   The cost is $35 for each individual, or if you form a team of 3 or more it becomes $30 per individual on the team.  Our traditional 5K run, (or leisurely walk...the choice is yours!), a shortened 2.5K run/walk (you know, a shorter race for the kids or kids at heart!), or a virtual 5K run for those not able to join us on campus.  The traditional 5K and the new 2.5K will be through Cayuga Community College's beautiful Nature Trail and around the Auburn campus.  Throughout the 5K and 2.5K run/walk, you will come across color stations where folks will be tagging you with color to show how much they appreciate you caring with color and supporting the Matthew House!  The color run is an untimed event...runners can choose to race past the colors scattering the dust through the air, or walk through the colors and soak in their brightness.  

Cayuga Cares with Color 5K Run/Walk:  Consists of 2 loops through Cayuga Community College's beautiful Nature Trail and around their Auburn campus. Each race participant will receive:

• An individual color packet to start the fun before the race begins
• Event t-shirt (only guaranteed if registered by May 1st)
• Ticket to enter raffle drawings after the race.
• One "I care with color and run in honor of" certificate to hang on our race day memory wall
• One "I care with color and run in honor of" race bib

Cayuga Cares with Color 2.5K Run/Walk:  Consists of 1 loop through Cayuga Community College's beautiful Nature Trail and around their Auburn campus.  Each race participant will receive:

• An individual color packet to start the fun before the race begins
• Event t-shirt (only guaranteed if registered by May 1st)
• Ticket to enter raffle drawings after the race.
• One "I care with color and run in honor of" certificate to hang on our race day memory wall
• One "I care with color and run in honor of" race bib
   

Cayuga Cares with Color Virtual 5K Run/Walk: Consists of completing a 5K Run of your choice.  Race packets will be sent out in the mail ahead of time to all those who register by May 1st.  Use your individual color packet and t-shirt in your race.  Take a snap shot, send it to us, and we will post it on our Facebook Page. We want to see YOU and show everyone distance will not stop you from caring with color! Each participant registered by May 1st will receive in the mail:

• An individual color packet to start the fun before the race begins
• Event t-shirt (only guaranteed if registered by May 1st)
• One "I care with color and run in honor of" certificate to hang on our race day memory wall...fill it out and send it back or post it our on Facebook page.  We'll be sure to include it on our wall!
