Run Tampa provides a framework of opportunities for you to improve your running and enjoy a great community of runners. Organized group runs mean you will have people to run with, and you will make friends who can hold you accountable if that's what you want.
Some of our members train to race a few times a year or as often as several times a month, but others are in it for fitness or just for fun and prefer not to race. It's all good.

Our group runs are amazing, friendly, non-competitive and, by design, unstructured. In other words, you don't have to 'stay with the group.' Sometimes people worry that they're 'not fast enough' to run with a group. You'll never feel that way.
We all start together, but then everyone goes their own comfortable pace and ends up with others at that pace. We've been doing it this way for many years, and it has always worked well. Check out the Group Runs page of the Run Tampa website for a detailed description of group runs from the moment you arrive, to the announcements/introductions circle to breakfast.
