How to Transfer Races

  1. 1. Sign In to RunSignUp
  2. 2. Go to your Profile
  3. 3. Click My Registered Races
  4. 4. Click View/Edit next to the registration that you would like to transfer
  5. 5. Click the Transfer to Another Race menu item
  6. 6. Find the race that you would like to transfer into and click the Start Transfer button
  7. 7. Register for the new race, and your Race Transfer Credit will be applied at the checkout

Some races allow runners to transfer their registration from one race to another.

Please note, race transfers can only be done between races that are owned by the same person or company.  If you are trying to transfer into a race that is not related to the race you are currently in, then you will need to request a refund from the race that you are currently registered for, as is explained in “How to Request a Refund”, and register for the new race separately.

This tutorial will cover:
- Transferring Registrations that were Paid Online
- Transferring Registrations that were Paid with a Coupon Code or Offline

Keep in mind, if you do not see the following features available from your profile, then the race does not have this feature enabled, and you will need to contact them directly to request this edit.  They can be reached by going to the “Race Page”, scrolling down to the “Race Contact Info” section, and filling out the “Questions” form.

TRANSFERRING REGISTRATIONS PAID ONLINE

If the race does have this feature enabled, then you can find it by going to your “Profile”, scrolling down and clicking on “My Registered Races”, going to “View/Edit Registration”, and then clicking on the tab for “Transfer to Another Race”.

Once under the “Transfer to Another Race” tab, you will be able to make sure that you have selected the correct registrant and event for this transfer.

Next, find the race that you would like to switch into from those listed on this page.Once you locate the race, click on “Start Transfer”, and go through the registration process for the new event, as is explained in “How to Register”.

If you do not see the race you would like to switch into on the “Transfer to Another Race” page, then this option is not offered by the race.  This could be because the race does not own the race that you would like to transfer into, or because they simply do not allow transfers into that race.  For more information on whether you can receive a refund for your current registration, please contact the race directly, by going to the “Race Page”, scrolling down to the “Race Contact Info” section, and filling out the “Questions” form.

TRANSFERRING REGISTRATIONS PAID WITH A COUPON CODE OR OFFLINE

If you signed up with a coupon code, or paid your registration fee in person, then you will not be eligible to transfer to another race through RunSignUp.

If you registered for the race with a coupon code or paid offline, and you would like to transfer to another race, then you will need to contact the race directly, by going to the “Race Page”, scrolling down to the “Race Contact Info” section, and filling out the “Questions” form.

Goodbye Horizontal Menu on Race Dashboard

We know we have some old diehards using the horizontal menu layout, but we will be retiring that soon as part of our User Experience design work. Hopefully all the other cool stuff we are coming out with will make up for getting rid of this ugly menu…

What Our Customers Say:

“We want a company that wants to work with us, as we own the race company, and it’s us that ultimately has to deal with customer service.”
