In addition, ECMC is a verified Level 1 Adult Trauma Center by the American College of Surgeons, designated a Level 1 Adult Trauma Center by the NYS Department of Health, as well as a regional center for burn care, behavioral health services, transplantation, medical oncology and head & neck cancer care, and rehabilitation. Our work with the most critical cases in Western New York has given us the privilege of caring for patients when they need it most, in addition to giving us the experience to create patient success stories around non-emergency medical situations.
Finally, as a major teaching facility for the University of Buffalo, ECMC is consistently at the forefront of medical research and ingenuity.
