I'm raising money for United Way of Greater Los Angeles!
At the end of 2023, I tore my Achilles playing basketball. I underwent surgery in early 2024 and began a long, challenging recovery. In April 2024, I remember taking what should have been a simple walk in the parking lot. As I tiptoed across a puddle of water, I thought I had re‑ruptured my Achilles. Thankfully, the MRI came back negative. It turned out to be a partially torn fiber, but it was still a major setback.
I spent nearly nine months in a boot. The rehab and recovery process was tough - both physically and mentally. There were moments when I truly believed I might never walk normally again, let alone run.
But I pushed through, one step at a time.
This year, as East West Bank celebrates 30 years of partnership with United Way, I decided to RUN. I’m running to show what resilience looks like - and to support United Way’s mission to end homelessness.
Please consider donating and supporting this cause. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps create real change and brings hope to those in need. Thank you for walking (and running) this journey with me.
