We are participating in this 5K in loving memory of my father, Joseph M. Moran — a devoted husband, proud father and grandfather, Hillside Fire Captain, and Paramedic who responded to Ground Zero on 9/11. He was a true hero — not just for his service that day, but for the way he lived every day with courage, loyalty, and love for others.
This 5K is more than a race for us — it’s a tribute. It’s our way of honoring his legacy, his decades of service, and the values he instilled in us: family, sacrifice, and standing up when it matters most. My husband, our son, and I will walk proudly in his memory, alongside Bugsy’s Gang 127, the crew that carries his spirit forward.
Why the Tunnel to Towers Foundation?
Born from the tragedy of 9/11, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation carries forward a legacy of courage and heroism. Built upon the mantra, “While we have time, LET US DO GOOD,” the Foundation supports our nation’s fallen and catastrophically injured first responders, military heroes, and their families.
Please help us support the Tunnel to Towers Foundation and America’s heroes by making a donation through our page. Every dollar honors the bravery of those who sacrifice everything to protect us — and helps their families carry on.
Thank you for your support — and please consider sharing this page with others who may want to help.
