Sukie Nau has been practicing physical therapy since 2007 with a special interest in the biomechanics of human performance. He earned his Bachelor of Health Science with a concentration in Rehabilitative Services, Minor in Sociology and Minor in Education from the University of Florida in 2004. He later finished his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Saint Augustine with a concentration in Orthopedics in 2007.

Sukie uses his knowledge of the musculoskeletal system to increase the optimal functioning of the human body. His philosophy is a holistic approach to treating the underlying cause of movement dysfunctions. His practice has a heavy emphasis on manual therapy including: joint/soft tissue mobilization, trigger point, massage, traction, acupressure, muscle energy, and manual edema drainage. Sukie is also a certified USA Track and Field Coach as well as a Post-Injury Running Coach. He has a sub-specialty in running injury management with an emphasis in endurance running.

Sukie holds high commitment to serving the community. He has served as the president of Miami Runners Club from 2009-2015, whose primary role was to design workouts that focus on performance running and proper biomechanics, to aid the club’s marketing and recruiting efforts through search engine optimization and social media. He has also lectured at the Boston Marathon Medical Symposium and UM School of Medicine, and has been featured in Competitor Magazine with a dedicated article. Sukie has been published in journals such as the “American Medical Athletic Association”, and “Orthopedic Practice”.

Personally, Sukie has been a lifelong proponent of fitness and wellness. His determination continues into many facets of his life. His passion for biomechanics and adoration in his running specialties has taken him to many different levels of success. He has completed 7 full marathons (26.2 miles) and a 50 mile ultra-marathon. He also enjoys yoga, music and spending time with his family. Sukie lives in Port Saint Lucie, FL with his beautiful wife Elizabeth and four young children Ezra, Elias, Zara and Celine Rose.
