The Board and Brew is Maryland’s premier board game café. It’s located in College Park, MD, just north of The University of Maryland, College Park campus.
We offer our guests a scratch-made menu of small plates, sandwiches, salads and desserts. Our beverage program features single-orign coffees from several of the country's top roasters, loose-leaf teas, hand-made italian sodas, and a wide selection of craft beers. We have a board game library that exceeds 700 games, with games for all ages, interests, strategies and genres. Our staff is happy to recommend and teach you new games as our library is constantly evolving with new games that are released.
The Board and Brew has an active schedule of events that provide our guests with unique gaming opportunities, special "open-mic” nights, trivia nights and more.
Founded in 2014 by two University of Maryland graduates and avid board game players, Brian McClimens and Ben Epstein, The Board and Brew generates a unique sense of community among staff and guests alike. The relaxed atmosphere and warm environment along with the menu and gaming options make it a place that everyone will enjoy. Families, students, avid gamers and other organizations continue to look to The Board and Brew as their “go to” place. We look forward to your visit!

The Varsity
The most convenient parking is located within the Varsity building. They do charge hourly, and unfortunately they do sometimes tow if you stay past the time you've paid for.
11b on campus
If you're planning to stay a while, we recommend parking at lot 11b. It's free after 4pm on weekdays and free all day on weekends. No parking here during the day on weekdays, and this lot sometimes closes for large games at UMCP.
