Oryana was the first food co-op in the country to be designated a Certified Organic Retailer, which means: all organic products are in compliance with the United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA) final rule on organics, implementing protocols to insure no commingling with nonorganic product, and that our employees are properly trained in the handling of organic product. By taking these extra steps, Oryana ensures that the chain of organic integrity is preserved.
