You are reading this because in some way you have been touched or are intrigued by our no-cost services provided by our dedicated network of volunteers. Maybe you have benefited from our transportation services, or borrowed equipment from our loan closet. Perhaps you were graced with a friendly visit and a nice bouquet of flowers in your birthday month. You might be a family member who had been given a little break from a respite volunteer. No matter the reason for the service you received, I am glad that you have been touched in some way by the amazing gifts of time our volunteers have to offer. In our last fiscal year, over 300 SCVN volunteers completed nearly 20,000 hours of service for the seniors of McHenry County. Our volunteers drove our care receivers more than 168,000 miles to and from their medical appointments, shopping trips and life-enriching activities.
