R & O Fishing Tools, a California "C" Corporation, was established on February 1, 1984 by two brothers, Robert and Otis Waters, in Bakersfield, California. With only two employees working out of a 600 sq/ft shop, their goal was to be a company with a good product at a fair price with quality service. The company has since evolved into a corporation that services all local major oil companies and independent oil companies throughout the Western United States, while also, servicing a large number of water and thermal well companies. R & O Fishing Tool's current location is at 7420 Enos Lane in Bakersfield, California. The five acre parcel is located on the Northeast corner of Enos Lane and Snow Road. The property is home to a 10,000 square ft butler building with a full range of manufacturing and maintenance equipment. i.e., 5,000 lb pressure test unit, 70,000 lb pull test unit, 50,000 ft/lb breakout unit, overhead bridge crane, swing cranes, and numatic and hydraulic vises. The facility also includes a natural gas high pressure steam cleaner with a one micron self-contained recyclable, filtration system. Although, many changes have taken place over the past 24 years, the goals of being a company with a good product at a fair price with quality service has and will continue to remain the same.
