3rd Annual Pints And Paws 5K and 1 Mile Run Walk and Pup Strut

On-site Race Day Registration at 7 a.m. Saturday, August 31, 2024. 

Online Registration Closes Midnight Thursday, August 29th at Midnight.

A 5K running and walking event with 1 Mile Fun Run Walk and Pup Strut co-sponsored by Colonial Sports.  Location 2070 Jamestown Rd., Williamsburg, VA 23185 (The Meadow area across from the Jamestown Settlement parking lot).

There will be NO early packet pickup.  Packet Pickup will be RACE Day ONLY starting at 7:00 AM in the entrance to the field across from parking area. 

BRING AN ITEM FOR THE RESCUE and receive (1) an additional door prize ticket.  NEW ITEMS ONLY:  dog/cat food (dry or wet), dog/cat treats, dog/cat toys, cat litter, puppy pee pads, gift cards (Petco, Care-A-Lot, Chewy, Amazon) or other needed pet supplies for rescued animals.

NOTE:  Dogs are permitted to participate in all events when accompanied by a registered runner/walker.  Dogs must be in a harness/collar and on a leash or suitable lead.  NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES.

Dogs who accompany their runner/walker on the 5K Run/Walk MAY register their dog to compete for awards in the Canine Event category (additional $5 event fee applies).  All owners wishing to have their dogs compete for awards must register in the Canine Event and must bib/chip their dog for timing purposes.  The Canine Awards will be for the 5K Run Walk only.  

The 1 Mile Fun Run Walk and Pup Strut start at 8:00 am on Saturday. August 31, 2024.  Same starting line as the 5K event.  Dogs may accompany participants on the 1 Mile event as long as they are in a harness or collar and on a leash or suitable lead.  NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES.

The 5K starts at 8:30 AM on Saturday, August 31, 2024. Runners will utilize USATF-certified course VA20012RT.  This course follows the road running parallel to Jamestown Rd., then right onto Landfall, run to a turnaround, and back to the clearing area.  Dogs may accompany participants on the 5k event as long as they are in a harness or collar and on a leash or suitable lead.  NO RETRACTABLE LEASHES.

Pup Photo Contest after the 1 Mile and 5K have finished.  Entry Fee is $5 and open to anyone onsite with a pet.   Contest Categories include: Best Dressed Pet, Best Pet/Owner Look Alike, Cutest Pet Smile, Best Large Breed, Best Small Breed. Each winner will receive a prize!   

There will be a vendor fair on site with animal friendly and community service vendors for your enjoyment between 8 am and noon.  

All participants who register by deadline on August 23, 2024 are guaranteed a race t-shirt.  A limited number of race t-shirts MAY be available for any later registrations but availability and specific sizes cannot be guaranteed.  A die cast finishers medal will be available to the first 250 finishers.  

(1) Beer and (1 slice) Pizza included in registration.  Non-drinkers and underage participants will be able to receive a non-alcoholic beverage.  

Parking is in the Jamestown Foundation Settlement parking lot.

Top three male and female overall
Top three male and female 10 and under
Top three male and female 11-13
Top three male and female 14-16
Top three male and female 17-19
Top three in 10 year age groups from 20-29 through 70-74 and 75 and over.

5K Canine Awards:

Top three male dogs overall

Top three female dogs overall

The 1 Mile Fun Run and Pup Strut will be an untimed event with dogs permitted to participate with their handlers and therefore there will be no competitive awards.
