Founded in 2013 by competitive cyclists wanting to race for a regional team instead of competing against each other from different bike shops, PTAC partners with bike shops and is sponsored by local companies with a vision for cycling as a lifelong sport. PTAC is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit that provides leadership, services and support to programs it creates that promote cycling for healthy living.
Our elite road teams are made up of full-time students and those with full-time jobs who compete for fun.
Our middle and high school mountain bike teams compete in the Georgia Interscholastic Cycling League and support every student-athlete in the development of strong body, strong mind and strong character.
Prima Tappa Athletic Club is dedicated to the promotion of health and fitness in North Georgia. Our club members align themselves toward representing cycling as a whole and joining forces whenever we arrive at the same events.
Our sponsors benefit from that mission and see Prima Tappa as a way to promote healthy living and fight against things like childhood obesity.
