We Love Homewood 5K

WE LOVE HOMEWOOD 5K
We look forward to seeing you at the starting line of the We Love Homewood 5k.  This race has supported fine arts in Homewood City Schools since its inception as the Spirit Scamper in 2012.  This year's race will benefit the Homewood High School Show Choir and Wellness Program (HWD Strong).

Scoop and Scurry TIMED 1 Mile FUN RUN

Yes, this years Scoop and Scurry Fun Run will be TIMED!

Ice Cream will NOT be served at the end of this years race.

The road courses wind through the Edgewood community. Expect to see neighbors in Edgewood cheering along as you complete our friendly 5K and 1 Mile Route

 

 HWD SNOOZE 

Unable to attend but still want to show your support, sign up to become a HWD SNOOZE participant.

Supporters of HWD SNOOZE are guaranteed a t-shirt as long as they register by April 15th.

5k Overall Awards: 

Top Masters Male/Female

5k 1st, 2nd and 3rd Overall Male/Female.

5k Age Group Awards:

1st, 2nd and 3rd place males and females in each of the following categories will receive an age group award: 9 and under,10-14,15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79

5k awards are hand painted ceramic medallions that you won't find at ANY OTHER RACE!

Top Male/ Female.

Age Group Awards:

1st, 2nd, and 3rd males and females in each of the following categories will receive an age group award: 5-7, 8-10,11-13

Fun Run Awards are prize packs from Neighbors Ice Cream Homewood.

• Guaranteed T-shirt Deadline is Monday, April 15th.

• Thursday, May 2nd- 11am- 6pm Trak Shak Homewood. 

• Friday, May 3th- 11am- 6pm Trak Shak Homewood. 

• Saturday, May 4th 6:30- 7am. Picnic area at the back of Central Park near Manhattan Street.

 Packet pick-up and Race day Registration: 5k $40 and Fun Run $20

•  No dogs allowed on the course, service dogs welcome. Strollers are welcome

•  In the event of inclement weather, the race is canceled. No Refunds.

Start and Finish will be the Finish Line of the We Love HWD 5K. 

Ice Cream will NOT be served at the end of this years Fun Run.

 

 Awards not collected at the awards ceremony following the 5K, must be picked up at Trak Shak the week following the race.

 

 

Scoop and Scurry School Competition.
K-5 grade students from Hall Kent, Shades Cahaba and Edgewood will compete to see which school can bring the biggest team to complete the one mile run. 

T-shirt Deadline: Must Register by midnight April 15th

Ice Cream will NOT be served at the end of this years Fun Run.

Individual Awards: 

Overall: Top Male/Female
Age Group Awards: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd male/female in  6-8, 9-10,11-13 age groups.

School Awards:

ScooperIntendents Award: K-5 grade students from Hall-Kent, Shades Cahaba and Edgewood will compete to see which school can bring the biggest percentage of students to complete the one mile run.  

Grade Level Award:

At the winning school, the grade level with the highest percentage of participants will get an end of the year Neighbors Ice Cream celebration .
