EarlyWorks Dog Jog 50K Challenge

Our Dog Jog 5k is taking on a new life this year and becoming a 50K CHALLENGE! The virtual challenge takes place over the month of July and will average one mile per day for the entire month 7/1 - 7/31 to equal 31 miles or 50K. You can do a mile a day or finish in a week - how you complete it is totally up to you! This challenge can be done alone, with your family, or with your four legged friend! 

This year, the race will support the brand new Tinker Lab and other STEM exhibits at EarlyWorks Children's Museum! 

PLEASE BE CAUTIOUS WHEN TAKING YOUR PUPS FOR A WALK/ RUN! Don't run or cycle with your dog during the hottest hours of the day. Head out in early morning or late evening when it's cooler. Avoid pavements - if the ground is too hot to touch with your hand for a few seconds it's too hot for paws. Carry water for you and your dog - when you rehydrate make sure your dog does too. Take age appropriate dogs. Know the signs of overheating, including: profuse and rapid panting, a bright red tongue, thick drooling saliva, glassy eyes and lack of coordination.
