Last year, you helped us provide new 3D mammography + biopsy equipment for the Huntsville Hospital Breast Center. This cutting-edge technology makes the diagnostic and biopsy process smoother, more efficient, more accurate, and less stressful for patients. Proceeds from the 2021 run will fund two software upgrades for screening mammography machines. This upgraded technology will improve cancer detection and likely decrease the number of false positive examinations. We can't do it without you!
Local news anchor, Liz Hurley, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1998, and established the Liz Hurley Breast Cancer Fund at HHF in 1999. Thanks to generous supporters of the fund, more than $6 million has been raised to support breast cancer awareness programs and to equip Huntsville Hospital and Madison Hospital Breast Centers with the latest diagnostic technology.

Lakshmi Kakani Nallamala created Vessels for Hope for the 2021 Ribbon Run. This impressionist representation of pink tulips in blue & white containers reminds us of how people are vessels filled with the care & compassion of God and others. Out of this overflow of love, our vessels become whole, healed and conduits of hope for our community. Lakshmi prays this painting will convey the beauty and fullness of the Ribbon Run: a community united to support & encourage one another along our journeys.
