The Hero Half Marathon is a fundraising race and community event hosted in partnership with the Fayetteville Firefighters’ IAFF – Local 2866 and The Spark Foundation, Inc. Race proceeds benefit organizations that meet important community needs, increase fitness opportunities for the community, and make Fayetteville, Arkansas a great place to live, work, and play.
This scenic, chip-timed, point-to-point race originates at beautiful Lake Fayetteville. Runners wind their way through the green heart of this charming college town on extensive paved, multi-use trails that make up part of the Razorback Regional Greenway, a world-class trail system linking six communities. Racers will experience a safe, fun, well-marked, well-supported race that culminates with a sneaky hill in the last mile.
The race finishes in historic downtown Fayetteville where participants will be greeted with a festival-like atmosphere that includes music, food, the Columbus House Brewery beer garden, local vendors, sponsor booths, and activities for children. The race coincides with Fire Safety Awareness week and includes a 9/11 Memorial to commemorate the sacrifices made then and now by firefighters, law enforcement, and first responders.

Please note that Same Day Packet Pickup and Shuttle Pickup are at the Finish Line location at 495 W. Dickson Street. Park in one of the recommended city parking lots to grab the shuttle to the Starting Line at Lokomotion Family Fun Park. We will have gear drop available. If you have already picked up your packet, family and friends can drop you off at the Starting Line instead of taking the shuttle, but there is very limited parking for them there.Open in External Application
