PRE-REGISTRATION

As we wait for our permit to be issued, we will use a pre-registration option for sign-ups.  You will not be charged for the registration until we are confirmed that the race will happen. During the process, you fill in all of your registration details including your credit card information and authorization for us to eventually charge your card for the entry fee amount. We perform a $0 credit card authorization charge to validate the card and then securely save the card information. You will not initially be charged and will be shown as a pending pre-registration selection. Once we have our permit from the city if Alameda, we will charge the saved credit card and update your registration status to active.

SOCIAL TEAMS

SOCIAL TEAMS get discounted entry fees, as well as additional benefits and prices.  Running with a friend (or a group!) really is so much more fun than running alone. Once the race is over, a team is there to celebrate, and relax after the accomplishments of the day. Plus, they’ll keep people going and motivate them to keep training or finish strong if they’re starting to feel sluggish mid-race.

RACE TIMING/TIME LIMITS/RESTRICTIONS

The Alameda 10-Miler is a chip-timed event.  Participants must finish the 10 mile course in 2.5 hours  Participants can run, jog or walk the entire course. Don’t worry, the festival area at the end of the race will be eagerly awaiting you!

Jogging strollers are permitted but are asked to start in the back of the pack.  Wheelchair athletes are permitted but due to safety concerns and street closure restrictions cannot travel faster than the fastest runner.   No bikes, scooters, skateboards or other wheeled vehicles are allowed.

ABOUT THE COURSE (tentative)

START TIME:  7am

The flat and fast 10 mile course follows the Bay Trail path along the water, cruising through Crab Cove and with a turn around just south of Crown Beach Memorial. The out-and-back course makes the USS Hornet shine and takes you on a tour of the Port of Oakland cranes and ferry terminal. Love boats? Love the beach? Love local hops? Come run Alameda with us!  VIEW THE ROUTE ON MAPMYRUN

MEDICAL

The Medical Team is a dedicated group of medical professionals, available to help assess your race day medical needs and administer acute first aid when necessary. A medical station will be located near the finish line as well as at the water stop along the course.

WATER STOPS

Participants are welcome to bring their own water on course with them. We will have two water stops on the course and water at the finish line to keep your hydration up during the 10 miles. If you need additional on course nutrition such as gel, please bring your own.

AFTER THE RACE – CELEBRATION ON THE SHORE

What better way to celebrate your accomplishments – music, beer fun! Participants will be treated in typical Corrigan Sports style with a quality Under Armour premium and finisher's medal plus a fun and festive post-race party featuring local beer and wine while you enjoy city views with friends.
