SOCIAL TEAMS get discounted entry fees, as well as additional benefits and prices. Running with a friend (or a group!) really is so much more fun than running alone. Once the race is over, a team is there to celebrate, and relax after the accomplishments of the day. Plus, they’ll keep people going and motivate them to keep training or finish strong if they’re starting to feel sluggish mid-race.

The Alameda 10-Miler is a chip-timed event. Participants must finish the 10 mile course in 2.5 hours Participants can run, jog or walk the entire course. Don’t worry, the festival area at the end of the race will be eagerly awaiting you!
Jogging strollers are permitted but are asked to start in the back of the pack. Wheelchair athletes are permitted but due to safety concerns and street closure restrictions cannot travel faster than the fastest runner. No bikes, scooters, skateboards or other wheeled vehicles are allowed. Dogs are not allowed on our race courses. We love dogs, but there are those who are not so comfortable around them and there are also dogs that are uncomfortable around hundreds of other people, therefore NO DOGS ALLOWED on the course or at the finish line.
START TIME: 7am
The flat and fast 10 mile course follows the Bay Trail path along the water, cruising through Crab Cove and with a turn around just south of Crown Beach Memorial. The out-and-back course makes the USS Hornet shine and takes you on a tour of the Port of Oakland cranes and ferry terminal. Love boats? Love the beach? Love local hops? Come run Alameda with us!

The Medical Team is a dedicated group of medical professionals, available to help assess your race day medical needs and administer acute first aid when necessary. A medical station will be located near the finish line as well as at the water stop along the course.
There will be three water stops on the course. We will return to more traditional stops with volunteers distributing water and Gatorade from cups.
We will partner with a local venue to host a post-race after party. DETAILS TO BE ANNOUNCED.
