Pretty in Pink Memorial Race

I have lost several family members to Breast Cancer including my Mom, (she is the sexy lady pictured up above)... who fought it twice in a matter of 8 years, but she lost the battle on December 27, 2008, so this is my way of showing her honor and supporting all effects to win the battle for the Cure.

This is my 1st year fundraising and participating in the Passionately Pink for the Cure Breast Cancer Event, so I wanted to do a little something extra.

I'm organizing a virtual 5k event (run/walk/anything you want). It's virtual so you can do it anywhere in the world. With a $25 donation, you will receive an awesome finisher's medal!

Want to earn some cool bling?  Want to join the fight against breast cancer?  It's easy to do - just follow these 2 simple steps! :)

Step 1)  Sign up for this event.  From your $25 cost, $15 will be donated to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, and $10 will go towards helping defray the costs of the medal and shipping.  Everyone that signs up for this event will receive a medal.

Step 2) Complete the 5k!  You can run/walk/skip/hop/jog, do it all at once, over the course of a month - it doesn't matter!  Complete it any time before the end of December.  This is on the honor system - you do not have to report your time and distance. But it would really be cool if you would post a photo of yourself with your medals once you receive them.

This year I'm trying to raise $1,000 for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Please help me towards my goal.
