RACE UPDATE: As of 8/31/2020, we have not been able to secure a permit or alternative venue for the race. As a result, we have no other option but to cancel this event for 2020.

For 2020, the race will start and finish at the American River Canyon Overlook Park. The address is 855 Pacific Avenue. There is ample parking within the lot and additional space on Pacific Avenue. Registration and check-in will be located towards the back of the parking lot. Check-in and late registration is available on race day from 7:00 am to 8:15 am. We will utilize a rolling start with small groups of race participants. The first heat will start at 7:30am and the last heat at 8:30am.
Description

Join us at the Overlook on Sunday November 22, 2020 and Run for the Mandarins.  We have a 5K and 10K Fun Run options.  This race is for everyone, from serious competitors to casual joggers.  Bring your kids, your cousins, your spouse and your friends for a cool and delicious autumn morning run through the neighborhoods of Auburn.  We will utilize staggered start times with small groups of race participants in order to keep safe physical distancing protocols in place for everyone's benefit.  In addition, we ask that before and after the race, that everyone wear a mask.

Hot chocolate and mandarin cider will be served as the warm up to race and all finishers earn a commemorative medal, and a bag of mandarins.  The annual Mount Mandarin Festival has been cancelled this year.  

Proceeds from this race benefit the Placer High Ski Team and the EV Cain’s Student Service Club, a middle school volunteer organization that supports our veterans, seniors and other community members in need.
