Indian Gulch Run at Hornitos

The 44th Annual Indian Gulch - Hornitos run is hosted by the Merced Running Club (MRC).  Run the foothills of Hornitos surrounded by wildflowers!  Choose from one of 3 out-and-back distances - 2 miles, 5 miles or 10 miles. Walkers are welcome on the 2 and 5 mile course. The race pre-registration fee for all events is $25. Race day registration will be available for $30 per person. Fleece beanies and a reusable grocery bag with all pre-race registration. Beanies available at race day registration while supplies last.  Race registration includes a continental breakfast. Part of the proceeds benefit Merced Special Olympics.

In 2020, we had to cancel the Indian Gulch run exactly 1 week prior to the race date. All give-a-way items and awards were already purchased with the current year's race information. We are a small club and cannot discard the previous swag and buy new for this year so we are calling this year's run 'Retro' because all give-a-way items and awards will say '2020'. If the 2020 Olympics can be held in 2021 then we can hold the 2020 Indian Gulch Run in Hornitos in 2022! To keep the event as safe as possible, we will not be in the hall after the race for a hot breakfast. We will remain outside and will have a continental breakfast available for runners. 

As much as we love babies and dogs, we do not recommend them for this race as it is run on an open road with a narrow shoulder.
