The 2024 Great Race | Virtual edition is a wonderful way to stay active, keep accountable and earn a super nice, high-quality running shirt and large finisher's medal to commemorate your accomplishment! Choose from traditional all-in-one-day distances like 5K, 10K, 15K, 10 Miler or Half Marathon.
A high-quality running shirt in your choice of men's, women's or a youth cut (a $30 value), a finisher’s medal and drawstring backpack will be mailed to you! Shipping is free to U.S. addresses.

What are the dates of the virtual Great Race?
Start anytime beginning Jan 1, 2024. You have until June 30, 2024 to complete your event.
I see you offer 5 events. Which delectable distance should I enter?
Sign up for the distance you want to conquer, or sign up for multiple distances.
What if I am not a runner? Can I participate?
Of course! You can run, walk, hike, spin, move on a treadmill, stair stepper or elliptical. Just move!
Where do I have to be to participate in the Great Race?
You can live anywhere! Anyone can participate in this challenge. You complete your miles on your own course, your treadmill, your bike, your elliptical or your stair climber etc.
What if I need to change the distance I registered for?
We understand things come up and you may not be able to complete miles you originally committed to OR have a surge of energy and realize you can complete a higher mileage challenge. Contact us by email and we will be happy to help you make the switch.
Do I need a GPS app like Map My Run or Strava? Will I need to show my watch or app for proof of activity?
An app or GPS watch is recommended, but certainly not required. There are a number of running apps that make it easier to track your time and mileage. If you don't have one, you can download a running app to an iPhone or Android device. Some apps available are Map My Run, RunKeeper, Strava. You can use an Apple Watch, Garmin, FitBit or other devices that track mileage and time. When it comes to logging your miles, you are on the honor system. You are entered in the Great Race to be active and achieve your goal mileage. There are no placement or age group awards.
When will I receive my swag?
Your race swag will ship in late April.
I live outside of the United States, can I participate?
Yes, you can absolutely participate. However, we only ship to U.S. addresses.
