Our 5K is called "Family Day 5K" and is a fundraising event for our nonprofit, Family Outdoors. It is an event meant to inform every participant of our cause, who we are, and what we do for California's low-income families. Every runner/walker registered for the event is donating through our fundraiser to reach our goal of raising $50,000. Participants will experience who we are and what we do through our introduction and informative "Canopy Stations." The event is designed for anyone to be able to participate in, whether they would like to run the course or walk it. Each participant will receive an event package, and lunch will be provided. Vendors will be present as event sponsors, have their canopies to show their involvement, and give the participants drinks and giveaways. Stations throughout the course will give participants water and nutrition and provide a safe and appropriate 5K experience.
- 10:00 am - 10:30 am: Group arrival time
- 10:30 am: Announcements and Welcome
- 10:45 am: Kids Dash (1K) begins
- 11:30 am: 5K begins
- 12:00 pm - 2:30 pm: Food Truck provides lunch for the group
- 3:00 pm: Final Announcements and thank you presentation
- 3:30 pm - 4:00 pm: Group departure
