We are currently seeking an indoor venue as it is still very warm in August. We will inform all pre-registered families, vendors, sponsors, and the community as soon as we have secured a venue and date.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. We miss you ALL and can't wait to celebrate Autism in August with you ALL! - CVASA

March 13. 2020 - The Coachella Valley Autism Society has decided to postpone (not Cancel) the 6th Annual Autism Walk and Resource Fair, hosted on Saturday, April 11th at the Palm Desert Civic Center Park.

We have been following the CDC, state, and local Riverside County Public Health department regarding the COVID-19 outbreak and after consulting local and state health officials and the announcement from the Governor and Riverside County Public Health Department yesterday, the Coachella Valley Autism Society has made the decision to postpone the 6th Annual Autism Walk & Resource Fair to help protect our members, attendees, staff, and volunteers during the COVID-19 outbreak. In the current environment, it’s important for all of us to travel smarter and more consciously, as we work together as a community to decrease the transmission and lower the impact of COVID-19.

We are exploring options to reschedule the event and possibly offer a virtual experience for 2020 attendees to participate in our National Autism Awareness Month efforts. We understand the gravity of the situation for all of the attendees, sponsors, and local businesses, traveling from near and far to participate and plan to reach out to each of you separately in the upcoming days/week with further details.

We will continue to work hard to bring you meaningful events that create more opportunities to advocate for a better quality of life for those affected by autism in the near future. We apologize for any inconvenience, and we greatly appreciate your patience and flexibility.

For additional resources on COVID-19 and how it affects the disability community, click here. We appreciate your patience, and will continue to be transparent throughout this process.
