2 miles South of Montezuma Valley Market, on private road and property adjacent to Anza Borrego Desert State Park.

Description

By Anza Borrego Desert State Park, run or hike approximately 3 miles under the recharging illumination of the Hunter's Moon in the high desert of San Diego County.  Help us raise funds for a teen cancer support organization and get the high desert area buzzing with excitement and fun.  Registration includes access to private course, food, live music, Tshirt, Bib, swag bag (guaranteed for first 50), and support of an amazing organization.  Come join us!

Race check-in will be completed at Montezuma Valley Market.  Then shuttle will take race participants to run site (about 2 miles away)  120 acres of California chaparral and holds the highest peak in the area. Adjacent south western entrance to Anza Borrego Desert State Park .  The trail is approximately 3 mile loop with fun elevation changes. After completion of run/hike, the after party begins.  Live music by Natural Selection and catered food.  Seriously this is going to be fun.  First 50 registered is guaranteed a swag bag.

This will take place in October so please feel free cosplay/costume it up!! Making sure to add your own glow in the dark accents and keep in mind ease of movement.  Group discount also available so make sure to strategize with your friends.

Benefit and Donations

Race to benefit nonprofit Bite Me Cancer.  Teen cancer organization that has provided us and many other families with teens diagnosed with cancer support services.  There is a donate button, but portion of proceeds will also go towards helping Bite Me Cancer continue their work.

Where Are We

Ranchita is located about 1.5 hour drive north east of San Diego on the S22. Registration will be at the only commercial lot and store in town.  You can't miss us, right by the 11 foot Yeti. Map shown below.

Free Camping - We are fortunate to be located right next to Anza Borrego Desert State Park which allows free dispersed camping. The favorite in the area is Culp Valley.
