Place

Alta Loma Neighborhood Trails

Description

This year we are unable to do our traditional Jog-a-thon at school, but we wanted to give families a chance to still be active and have some fun with it! We are hosting a virtual COLOR RUN! This is an event the entire family can participate in. You may choose to complete a 1K Walk/Run, 5K Walk/Run or a 10K Bike Ride.  Choose your own route for this distance as well as the day which works best for your family: Friday, October 30, Saturday, October 31, or Sunday, November 1. Register before Monday October 19 to ensure you receive your Race Kit in time for Race Day so that you have all the color powder ready to go. Join us in staying active, having fun, and making colorful memories all around our neighborhood!

Traditionally, a Color Run would feature multiple color stations that a runner passes through. At each station runners are sprayed with a color powder so that by the end of the race the runners have run through a variety of color stations.  The virtual Color Run lets you (the parent) be in charge of the stations and you choose to either run ahead and have your Superstar run through a "station", throw powder on each other at various places along your route, or save all the color for the end of your race as a celebratory color extravaganza.  You choose which you would like to do, we only ask that you have fun with it and take pictures along the way! Tag  @floyd_m_stork_pfsa on Instagram and Facebook and use #StorkStrong to collectively group all our race day photos!
