WALNUT CREEK EDUCATION FUND (WCEF)
Due to a lack of state funding resulting from voter decisions in the 1980s, public schools rely on funds raised by education foundations like WCEF. As frustrating as it can feel, we don't want you to worry about the education your child receives in our Walnut Creek schools. Foundations like WCEF allow families to invest in your child's education with tax-deductible donations and, ultimately, invest in our community.
Well-funded schools don't just create well-rounded, prepared graduates. Good schools connect our community, maintain property values, and produce the next generation of thoughtful, engaged leaders. To learn more about WCEF, visit www.wcefk12.org.
RISE PARALYSIS RECOVERY
During the pandemic, Rise Paralysis Recovery was able to continue working with clients as hospital therapy was shut down. Consistency and continued exercised-based therapy was imperative to the recovery process for both their physical and mental overall health. Unfortunately, not everyone who needs therapy can afford it. If you are able, we invite you to make a tax-deductible contribution to the RISE Scholarship Program so clients who need the financial help to continue their therapy.
Scholarships are given based primarily on financial need, and are reviewed and awarded on a quarterly basis. Each Rise Scholarship recipient receives 24 therapy sessions (3-month program) funded through the Forma Kids Foundation. To learn more about Rise, visit formagym.com/rise, or follow @riseparalysisrecovery on Facebook and Instagram.
