MCHD Dragonfly Virtual 30k

This year's event celebrates 30 years of MCHD! So what better way to celebrate than to complete 30k (18.64 miles) in 30 days? Register as an individual or with friends/family in a team of two or three. 

Feel free to invite family members and friends or organize your own walking/running crew to get those miles completed! Anyone can participate and/or donate. The money raised in the virtual 30k will be used for teacher training/education, classroom supplies, emergency scholarships, COVID-related expenses, and helping out in any way we can in our amazing community! 

The campus with the most registered participants (based on campus size) gets a special prize! Help your student's campus earn bragging rights! All participants will receive a Celebrating 30 Years commemorative medal, be entered into a prize drawing, and anyone can donate while registering for the race. 

Run the entire 30K at once or split up the distance and run/walk at your convenience throughout the month. That's only 1 kilometer or .6 mile per day! You can split the mileage if you join a team (30 kilometers total for a team of 2 or 3). Or are you competitive? Can you complete it in one session? Less than three sessions? Complete your mileage however and wherever you'd like. The earlier you register, the more time you have to complete your 30k and it's less expensive. The registration fee goes up to $15 on September 9. 

Kids can join too! Register your child(ren) and have them complete the 30k or create a different 30-themed challenge for the younger kids! We’d love to hear your ideas and be able to share them with other families. 

You have until September 30 to complete your kilometers. Have fun and get moving. Don't forget to take photos along the way, and tag them with #MCHDDragonfly30k for our Instagram page or email the photos to MCHDCollaborativeCommunity@gmail.com. You can also log your progress on the race website. 

The MCC will stay in touch throughout the month with other information about meet-ups at local parks and perhaps various unique "awards" given out during and after the event.
