FAQ

Q. Where is the best place to park?

A. Free parking is available on a first come, first serve basis at Impression 5 Science Center and the lots behind The Exchange. City of Lansing Parking is available under the Lansing Center and at the City Market for $2 an hour or $10 a day rate.

Q. Will there be water and porta johns on the half marathon course?

A. We will have four aid stations set up with water and Gatorade. Each station will be set up so you are able to hit it twice. Each station will have porta johns available.

Q. I have already registered and decided to have my packet shipped to me. How do I pay for the shipping?

A. At the bottom of the RunSignUp page, you can add shipping by paying for it in the store. We will cross reference those purchases with registrations when we start the mailing process.

Q. Do you need to know if we are doing the event virtually or in-person?

A. We do not need to know in advance and you can decide which way you want to participate as the event draws near.

Q. If we decide to do the event virtually and want to run the official race courses, when will they be ready.

A. By Saturday, September 18. Aid stations are only available on Sunday, September 19.

Q. Will age group awards be available?

A. Age groups medals are awarded for the top 3 in each age category for both events. Only the in-person, chip timed will be considered. Top 3 overall, masters and grand-masters for each event will be awarded Playmakers gift cards.

Q. If I register multiple people and want the items shipped to me, do I pay $8.95 for each entry?

A. No. We will combine your orders into one. Just add shipping to one of your entries and email me at michellephillipich@gmail.com and I will note it on your registration.

Q. What is the time limit for the half marathon?

A. The time limit is 4 hours

Q. How do I record my time if I do the event virtually?

A. You can record your time "on your honor" by uploading the finish times using the results tab on the RunSignUp page starting Saturday, September 18. You may also record that you have completed the event, but not leave a time if you wish.

Q. If I run in person, do I need to record my time?

A. No. The Michigan Running Foundation will record your in-person time for you.

The deferment and refund window closes on September 10 to prepare for packet pick up.

Q. Will there be pacers in 2021?

A. We are pleased to announce our pace team will be returning!
