I’m reaching out to ask if your company can help Thea’s Star of Hope conduct our inaugural “Star of Hope Half Marathon” on April 7, 2019.
Thea’s Star of Hope is a non-profit based in Central NJ. We raise money to help kids with brain tumors, primarily through funding targeted therapy research and by providing resources to recently diagnosed families.
Opportunities Available to your business:
.Our event sponsorships available (see attached)
.Your employees could enter a team in the race or walk. Many businesses have teams competing in the event (some wearing apparel with company logos) to reinforce brand recognition
.Your employees could create a fundraising team, and win some great incentive prizes, while supporting our effort to make more effective, less toxic treatments available to kids with brain tumors!
Of course, these are just a few thoughts, we’d be more than happy to discuss any sponsorship opportunities that make sense for you.
Thea’s Star of Hope’s mission is to improve the treatment experience for kids with brain tumors by supporting research for improved treatments with fewer side effects and by sponsoring support activities for families in the NJ/Philadelphia region. In 2018, Thea’s Star of Hope raised over $100,000 so far, with a few months to go! We have provided over $200,000 to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s Neuro-Oncology Research Fund and the Children’s Brain Tumor Tissue Consortium as well as another multi-institutional clinical trial for a new drug treatment. The organization has proudly partnered with the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation to create the “Star Portfolio” a resource guide for newly diagnosed families, as well as the Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation to provide programs for pediatric brain tumor survivors.
In the first few weeks of opening registration, we already have almost 200 runners signed up to run the USATF Certified 13.1 mile course, mostly flat along country roads. The relay team option is available for teams of 2 to 4 runners. Each leg will be approximately 3 miles.
All we need now, is your support to make it even better! There is a buzz in the running community about this great new race, and we would love for you to be a part of it!
I look forward to speaking with you about how we can partner with you. You can reach me at 732-513-3592. I’m sure your company always looks forward to working with responsible non-profits committed to worthwhile causes in the region.
