Race Rules

It is every racer’s responsibility to familiarize themselves with our Racer Rules. If you have any questions, please feel free to email rayne@racevermont.com.

Time Limits

  • There is a 3-1/2 hour time limit to this race - regardless of the distance.
  • If you are out on the course after the time limit has passed, you will be running at your own risk because police officers and other staff/volunteers may not be available on the course.

Other Race Rules

  • Racevermont.com is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. Please do not leave your valuables unattended.
  • Please be on time and arrive no later than 10 minutes before the close of check-in.
  • The use of personal music devices is highly discouraged but permitted. If you do decide to use your music device, please keep your volume low so you can hear traffic coming your way and our volunteers and/or timing team should they need to get your attention.
  • Racevermont.com no longer allows baby joggers. We apologize for the inconvenience, but given that this race is run on roads that will not be closed to traffic, we do not want to jeopardize the safety of our runners, their children, or drivers. We appreciate your understanding.
  • Racers must be courteous to other racers, volunteers, race officials, spectators at ALL times. Unsportsmanlike behavior will result in disqualification.
  • You will be running against traffic where instructed.
  • Do not run more than 2 abreast.
  • Race numbers must be visible at all times, but especially when approaching the finish line. This is especially important for accurate race results as well as photo IDs.
  • Dogs are not allowed at Shelburne Beach and are therefore not allowed to accompany our runners in this race.
  • NO BANDITS ALLOWED!
