Description
The Inaugural Tyler Brown's "I Hate to Run" Memorial 5K, will be held at the Salesianum School on December 17. This event is a fundraiser in honor of Tyler Brown, a Salesianum student and Woolwich, NJ native killed in a car crash in March 2016 while in his senior year. Proceeds from the race will benefit Tyler's Camp, SummerCollab's middle school academy, also hosted at the Salesianum School.
Tyler's Camp was founded in 2016 in Tyler Brown's memory with money raised by Students About Life Saving - a consortium of students from Salesianum, Padua, and Ursuline. Tyler’s Camp offers Delaware’s low-income middle-school students a chance to explore new ideas and uncover unknown talents. Campers select from a suite of music, technology, sports and arts opportunities, coupled with daily engagement with leadership development, STEAM-based curriculum, and literacy instruction, all free of charge.
Please join us on the 17th to remember Tyler and support a great cause. Stay for post-race hot cocoa and snacks. Santa will be there - so should you!
