TOGETHER with lots of your family and friends, come join the 2020 Students of the Year Campaign Team, Support Squad, for a 5K and Fun Run they've organized to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
All cancer patients need a Support Squad to lean on and journey through treatments, challenges and accomplishments TOGETHER with them. That’s what this event is about! Coming TOGETHER to support others and make a difference. Coming TOGETHER to show love and support for those diagnosed with a blood cancer and other cancers. Coming TOGETHER to support research which advances lifesaving treatments. Coming TOGETHER to raise awareness of the education and support LLS provides to patients and their families. Coming TOGETHER to find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, myeloma and other cancers. Coming TOGETHER as a community to BEAT CANCER not someday, but today!
Kids, Students, Teachers, Coaches, Parents, Grandparents, Friends and Family of all ages, rally TOGETHER your Support Squad to participate in the TOGETHER 5K! No matter your age or ability, TOGETHER we can make a difference! Whether you choose to walk or run in the 5K or Fun Run, just come out TOGETHER for a morning of fun and fellowship along the scenic and historic Augusta Canal located in the Savannah Rapids Park.
Event T-Shirts
Event t-shirts are white with red and black design on the front and back. T-shirts are available at no additional charge to the first 100 people who register; however, sizes are not guaranteed for registrations made after Sunday, February 16, 2020. Registrations after February 16th will receive shirt sizes based on a first come, first serve during Packet Pickup times.
Volunteers
Volunteers are needed for the day of the event in a variety of areas including Set-up, Packet Pickup, Race Day Registrations, 5K Water Station, Fun Run Turnaround, Post-Race Refreshment Area, and Post-Race Clean Up.
