The Broad River Watershed Association is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving northeast Georgia. Our mission is to preserve the Broad River as a free-flowing river system and to support land use compatible with the maintenance of water quality, scenic rural character, and the preservation of sensitive natural and historic areas and wildlife habitat. We hold conservation easements and own land in conservation use; we carry out water quality monitoring; we offer fun and educational activities for our members and the general public, including floats and natural history walks; we do trash cleanups throughout the watershed; and we support citizens and municipalities in efforts to responsibly manage buffer zones along the Broad and its tributaries.
Revenue to support our work is primarily dependent on the generosity of our membership donations from private individuals and institutional partners. Even if you can't join us for the trail run and polar plunge, we welcome and appreciate your membership as an individual ($25), family ($50), protector ($100), steward ($250), conservator ($500) or as a corporate partner (see below).
