$31.00 is the base cost of one session of counseling for teens and their families in the Indiana/Kentucky region at Brandon's House Counseling Center. No one using Brandon's House counseling services ever receives a bill. This 501 (c)3 nonprofit is 100% supported by donations and grants. Brandon's House currently has dozens of individuals on the waiting list and needs funding to support expansion of services.
Since 1993 Brandon's House Counseling Center has offered only free, professional counseling to remove the economic barriers that prevent families from seeking needed mental health services, such as insurance co-pays, multiple family members needing counseling, and tight budgets. Thousands of youth have received therapy for depression, anxiety, self-harm, self-esteem, peer relationships, bullying, family dynamics, career counseling, couples’ therapy, addiction, or other sources of psychological distress. Funding is needed now to accommodate the current requests for services.
