Duo at the Ledge Races is Cancelled

In response to the ongoing Coronavirus and the uncertain future we have found that we have no alternative but to cancel the races for this year.

Here Are Your Options:

You understand that events are expensive, even when cancelled, and you want us to keep your registration fees to be donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to help fight blood cancers . We deeply appreciate your generosity and look forward to seeing you at an event soon.

Description

ALL PROCEEDS GO TO THE LEUKEMIA & LYMPHOMA SOCIETY WITH A PORTION OF THE PROCEEDS AND ALL DONATIONS GOING TO DESERVING STUDENT/ATHLETES FROM SCHOOLS IN THE GREATER LANSING AREA TO BUY RUNNING SHOES FOR THE FALL CROSS- COUNTRY SEASON                                                                     

Test your summer skill level with this early bird 1/2 marathon and 5k & 10k

The 1/2 marathon course is mostly flat with some rolling hills and a mix of surfaces from city streets, country roads and dirt roads. The 5k and 10k routes mostly flat city courses. 

All races will be timed using disposable RFID tags.

In place of a shirt everyone will receive a customized Gym Bag.

Packet pickup Friday June 5, 3-8pm at Playmakers or

Saturday June 6th, at St. Michael School gym starting at 5:30 am

Secure Gear check at start/finish.

Small town feel, big city amenities   

Beat the summer heat with our early bird start times                   

The 1/2 marathon and 10k start at 6:30 and the 5k starts at 7:30

You must be able to do the 1/2 marathon with an average pace of 15 minutes per mile because we have to close the course in the city by 10:00 am

 

Again this year we are part of the Greater Lansing Area Race Series. The series is 13 events which go from Run for the House on 3/22/2020 to The Autumn Classic on 9/27/2020. New this year you can pick any one of our races to count toward  the standings.

All runners can get FREE facebook size pictures from Time Frame Photography, but there is no guarantee of a picture of every runner.

For the1/2 marathon there will be 6 water stations  1st one is just pass mile 2, the 2nd at about 4.5, 3rd one is at the half way point, the 4th one is just before mile 8, the 5th is just before mile 10, the 6th one is at mile 12. the 2nd, 4th,and 6th will also have Gatorade.  There will be a porta john at the first water station and the 1/2 way water station.

For all runners there will be free massages available  starting around 7am courtesy of the Lansing Community College Massage program

Donate and SAVE!

Help support our cause and SAVE! When you donate $50 you'll receive $20 off your race entry fee. Donate $25 and you'll receive $10 off your race entry fee. Applies to the 5k, 10k, and 1/2 marathon.

Governor's Council Endorsement & Michigan Fitness Challenge

This race is endorsed by The Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and part of the Michigan Fitness Foundation Challenge. The challenge encourages Michiganders to engage with events that promote physical activity, health and wellness. You will receive a FIT point for every endorsed event you participate in or volunteer for from January 1st until December 31st. Points earn cool swag and a chance to win various prizes! Greater Lansing Race Series

This race (all distances) is part of the 2020 Greater Lansing Race Series. The series features 13 events from the Greater Lansing Area starting in March and ending in late September. There is no need to register for the race series itself. Simply register and participate in any of the race series events and you will be scored automatically!
