We are proud to support the Montana Water Rescue, an all-volunteer team that provides critical lifesaving and recovery services across our region. Most of their work is offered to the community free of charge, and their members dedicate hundreds of hours each year to missions that are often a family’s last hope—75% of their efforts involve body search and recovery, including recent responses like the recovery of a hiker lost above Rosebud Lake. Beyond these difficult missions, Montana Water Rescue also specializes in swiftwater, flood, and ice rescues; underwater crime scene investigations; vehicle recovery; and community safety events for kids. Their operating costs are immense, with ongoing training, specialized equipment, annual servicing, and fuel needed to keep their team ready. They operate entirely on donations, and any financial support from our race community would be deeply appreciated and truly impactful.
