Unite For Carol's Cause

Carol Reiff was a founding member of Southern Ocean Ladies Running Club. On June 20th, she was last heard from in Blackwood, NJ. with plans to travel to Manahawkin, NJ to meet with her daughter and grandchildren. The Gloucester police department launched a search for Carol. There were no leads to where she disappeard to.

On June 24th, we were deeply saddened when her body was discovered in a wooded area by her home in Blackwood. What exactly happened to Carol between the night of June 20th and when she was found is still unknown. We are desperate for answers and closure for her family.The story is already disappearing from the media and we need your help to keep Carols story alive and present. For its resolvement and also to prevent this from happening to any other women. Someone out there is responsible for her death, and someone knows something.

The family has organized a fundraiser to offer an award to anyone with information leading to an arrest of the persons responsible for Carols death. The money from this event will go to that award.

For this reason we are organizing a group run and a "virtual" run to try and raise the remaining money. We are hoping that people across the country will unite for Carol's Cause. 

Please note-this is not a timed event. This is a SOL group run and a chance for friends of the club and Carol to meet in her remembrance. You can run or walk your distance at your pace. There will be a meetup group run/walk for Carol's Cause on 7/21 at 7am at Sunset Park in Harvey Cedars, NJ.

We are asking that participants of the virtual run, complete their run/walk that day or week. A digital bib will be emailed to you to print and wear and we ask that you share your support by posting your picture on social medias.

*In the event that no information is brought forward, the money will be donated to VDay.org which is a global movement to end violence against women and children.
