Description
The 2nd Annual Teach One Feed One 5K is presented by Arete Athletics and takes place at the beautiful Norristown Farm Park. The race will benefit "Teach One Feed One", a non-profit with the goal of helping the addicted and homeless in the Kensington section of Philadelphia and to bring to light the horrors of one of the worst drug populated and poverty-stricken areas in the country.
This race begins and ends at Norristown Area High School and runs through Norristown Farm Park. Traffic on Whitehall Road will be stopped by the West Norriton Police Department
Your entry fee directly provides food and water for the homeless. In return, you get:
- Beautiful 5K course, chip timed by SpectaSport
- Free Race Shirt for entries received thru October 3!
- This 5K is part of the 2019 GetPhound Fall Points Series presented by SpectaSport!
Race Day Schedule, Saturday October 12, 2019:
- Packet Pickup and walk-up registration: Noon
- 5K starts 1:15 pm
- 1 Mile Walk starts 1:30 pm
5K awards (this race is chip-timed):
- First Overall Male
- First Overall Female
- Gender-specific age groups: 1-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
